Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you register.
- Profile Data: Username, avatar, preferences, and in-app customization choices.
- Financial Data: When you choose to link a bank account via Plaid, we receive account balances, transaction history, and account identifiers provided by Plaid. We do not receive or store your banking credentials (username or password).
- Usage Data: App activity such as quests completed, badges earned, posts, and login history.
- Device Data: Push notification tokens and device identifiers used to send you notifications.

How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the App and its features.
- Power financial insights, spending tracking, and goal-based quests within the App.
- Send you notifications about streaks, achievements, and app activity (where you have opted in).
- Maintain your account, including authentication and security.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Section 03
Plaid Integration
To connect your financial accounts, we use Plaid. When you link a bank account, you interact directly with Plaid's interface and agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy, available at plaid.com/legal.
We do not sell your financial data to third parties.

How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: We use Supabase for database and authentication services. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Section 05
Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. We implement the following measures:
- All data is transmitted over TLS 1.2 or higher encryption.
- All data at rest is encrypted via Supabase's managed infrastructure.
- Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel and protected by multi-factor authentication.
- We do not store your bank login credentials at any time.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to protecting your data using industry-standard practices.
Section 06
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Section 07
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.
- Opt-out of notifications: Manage notification preferences directly within the App settings.
- Disconnect financial accounts: You may disconnect your linked bank accounts at any time from within the App.

Section 08
Children's Privacy
FRGE is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify you within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
